AHL Winners at Nabi Gallery, a guest show featuring five artists of Korean heritage, opens Thursday, June 11, with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m., and will remain on view through June 27.  Coinciding with the show, the DMZ Forum will hold a fundraising event at the gallery on Thursday, June 25, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.  The gallery is at 137 West 25th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues.  Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 to 6.
The AHL Foundation supports cultural and artistic events that raise public awareness of the contributions of Korean-American artists to the contemporary scene.  Its activities include an annual competition that is open to all artists of Korean ancestry living in the United States.
AHL Winners at Nabi Gallery showcases five past winners--Sung Ho Choi, Jungsu Han, Jane Jin Kaisen, Haegeen Kim, and Aegi Park--whose work represents a range of themes and approaches to artistic expression.

The DMZ Forum is an international coalition working toward the long-term goal of a nature sanctuary and "Peace Park" in what is now the Demilitarized Zone separating North and South Korea.  A 155-by-2.4-mile stretch of mountainous land that has been largely devoid of human activity since the close of the Korean War in 1953, the DMZ is home to many animal, bird, and plant species that are endangered or extinct elsewhere on the peninsula.  Admission to the June 25 event is $60.  For more information contact shlee@dmzforum.org or call 516 578 7969.
